The Global Pulse Confederation will be displaying pulses that are 9,000 years old at the convention next week in Cesme, Izmir!
If you want to see lentils, chickpeas, peas (9,000 years old) and fava beans (800 years old), which were found during an archeological excavation at Yumuktepe, Mersin, Turkey, then come and find archaeobotanist Dr. Burhan Ulas in the foyer to see these exciting finds and get some more details.
The said excavation was headed by Prof. Dr Isabella Caneva (Salento University, Italy) and archaeobotanist Dr. Burhan Ulas (Alata Horticultural Research Institute Mersin-Turkey).
With special thanks to the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, the Mersin Museum and also to Arbel for helping bring these treasures to the Cesme convention.
