Since its first research into pulse crops in 1976, Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC) has invested almost $29 million CA in 68 projects around the world. This research has resulted in increased productivity, incomes and nutrition for smallholder farmers around the globe. IDRC's head office in Ottawa and regional offices in Cairo, Delhi, Montevideo, and Nairobi will showcase the diversity of pulse dishes across the five regions by having pulse-based lunches.
